Yearly Top 10 Leaders on Champions Tour

Posting Top 10 finishes throughout the year on any golf tour is a sign of a golfer who is playing consistently well. And it's a great way to fill up a bank account. Below is the list of senior (50-and-over) golfers who have led the Champions Tour in Top 10 finishes each year since that tour's founding in 1980.

A few tidbits about the Top 10 leaders list below:

  • The golfer who has led this senior tour stat category most often is Bernhard Langer. Langer has topped the list 10 times, including seven consecutive years from 2012 through 2018.
  • The highest number of Top 10s in a single season on the Champions Tour is 26, the number recorded by Lee Trevino in 1990. Trevino, in his first year on the senior circuit, finished outside the Top 10 only twice all year. He had seven wins and eight second-place finishes.
  • The lowest number of Top 10 finishes to lead the tour (not counting 1980, 1981 and 1982, the tour's first three years, when there were only four, seven and 11 tournaments, respectively) is 13. That's how many Top 10s Langer had to lead the list in 2015.
