Most Presidents Cup Appearances and Matches Played
The Presidents Cup is a Ryder Cup-style tournament that is played every other year by two squads of golfers. One team represents the United States, the other is an International team (comprised of golfers from countries not represented by the Ryder Cup's Team Europe).
Of the "Big 5" golfers in the history of the Presidents Cup, who appear on the following two lists, two are from Team USA, three are from Team International.
Most Presidents Cup Appearances as a Player
- 12 — Phil Mickelson, USA, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017
- 11 — Adam Scott, International, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2022, 2024
- 9 — Tiger Woods, USA, 1998, 2000, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2019
- 8 — Ernie Els, International, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2003, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013
- 8 — Vijay Singh, International, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009
Mickelson played in all 12 of the first 12 Presidents Cups, 1994-2017. He was on the winning side in all but two of those appearances (Team International won the 1998 Presidents Cup, and the two teams tied the 2003 Presidents Cup).

- 54 — Adam Scott, International, 20 wins, 28 losses, 6 ties
- 43 — Tiger Woods, USA, 27 wins, 15 losses, 1 tie
- 40 — Ernie Els, International, 20 wins, 18 losses, 2 ties
- 40 — Vijay Singh, International, 16 wins, 15 losses, 9 ties
Among these luminaries, Woods has the best win-loss record at 27-15 (with one match halved). In his 43 matches played, Woods had a losing record (8-9-0) in fourballs, but went 19-6-1 in all other matches (12-4-1 in foursomes, 7-2-0 in singles).
Woods holds the records for most overall Presidents Cup match wins and also most Presidents Cup singles victories.
