Team Selection
Both teams, Europe and USA, will include 12 golfers. The roster of players won't be finalized until several weeks prior to the 2026 Solheim Cup. Both teams' rosters will be based, in part, on points lists and world rankings beginning after the conclusion of the 2024 competition. It is up to each team to determine how, specifically, its players are selected, and the selection criteria tends to be tweaked anew for each Solheim Cup. But in 2024, this was the criteria for each side:
- Team Europe: All golfers must have Ladies European Tour membership. Team Europe was comprised of the top two golfers on the LET Solheim Cup Points list; the top six golfers in the world rankings; plus four captain's picks.
- Team USA: All golfers must be LPGA Tour members. Team USA was comprised of the top seven players on the U.S. Solheim Cup points list; the next top two golfers from the world rankings; plus three captain's picks.
2026 Solheim Cup Golf Course: Bernardus Golf

But it was the site of the European Tour's KLM Open (aka the Dutch Open) in 2021, 2022 and 2023. The winners in those years were, respectively, Kristoffer Broberg, Victor Perez and Pablo Larrazabal.
