The Americans won the opening foursomes session by three points to one, and won the Day 1 afternoon fourball session by the same score. At the end of Day 1, Team USA led, 6-2. Day 2 was a wash, with both sides winning four matches. For a time during the latter half of the Day 3 singles session, it appeared Team Europe might pull off the improbable comeback to tie the competition and retain the cup. But Lilia Vu's comeback against Albane Valenzuela, forging a tie, earned the half-point the American side needed to clinch the victory.
Rose Zhang led Team USA with a 4-0-0 record, Lauren Coughlin earned 3.5 points (3-0-1) and Megan Khang went 3-0-0. Charley Hull lead Team Europe with a 3-2-0 record, including beating world No. 1 Nelly Korda, 6 and 4, in the opening singles match.
