Big Break Florida Winner and Cast Members

Big Break Florida was the 21st season of the Golf Channel reality/competition series The Big Break. As with several earlier seasons of The Big Break, this series featured an all-women cast of golfers. It aired weekly beginning on Monday, February 24, 2014.

The series was taped in October of 2013 at Omni Amelia Island Plantation, near Jacksonville, Florida. The Omni Amelia Island Plantation has three golf courses — Oak Marsh, Ocean Links and Long Point Golf Courses — and all three were used.

The broadcasters who hosted and announced the series were Tom Abbott and Melanie Collins.

Winner of 'Big Break Florida'

Jackie Stoelting emerged as the Big Break Florida champion. She was matched against Fiamma Felitch in the 18-hole championship match, which used a match-play format. Stoelting defeated Felitch by a 4-and-3 score.

What Stoelting won: Along with various merchandise prizes and endorsement contracts, the biggest prizes for Stoelting were access to tours. Her championship gained her an exemption into the LPGA Tour's 2014 Manulife Financial LPGA Classic tournament. She also received exempt status on the Symetra Tour for that tour's 2015 season, with all entry fees waived. The total value of her prize package was more than $100,000.

How Stoelting fared in her LPGA exemption: Stoelting scored 70-73 in the first two rounds of the 2014 Manulife Financial LPGA Classic and made the cut. She improved in her final two rounds, scoring 71-70. Her final score was even-par 284. She tied for 71st place.

'Big Break Florida' Cast Members

The cast was comprised of 12 women. Those contestants, with their ages (at the time the series aired in 2014) and hometowns:
  • Lindsay Aho, 26, Scottsdale, Ariz.
  • Courtney Coleman, 28, Rochester, Wash.
  • Kylee Duede, 22, Glendale, Ariz.
  • Fiamma Felitch, 24, Oklahoma City, Okla.
  • Tonya McCall, 28, Las Vegas, Nev.

  • Jackie Stoelting, 27, Vero Beach, Fla.
  • Lauren Sullivan, 25, Fort Worth, Texas
What happened to Stoelting? She became an LPGA Tour player. In fact, she didn't even need the 2015 Symetra Tour membership her victory in Big Break Florida earned her. That's because on the Symetra Tour in 2014, Stoelting finished third on the money list, which moved her up to the LPGA Tour in 2015. She played 18 LPGA tournaments in 2015, but also won twice on the Symetra Tour. Stoelting had to return to the Symetra Tour full-time in 2016, but won twice more, finished third on the money list, and regained her LPGA Tour card. She had a high of 21 LPGA starts in 2017. In 2018 she posted her best LPGA finish, a tie for eighth at the Volunteers of America LPGA Texas Classic.
