Yearly Birdie Leaders on the LPGA Tour
The list that follows of the LPGA's annual leaders in birdies made includes many names you'd expect to show up. You might be surprised, however, that Annika Sorenstam and Karrie Webb each led the tour in birdies just once. Keep in mind that Total Birdies is highly influenced by the number a rounds a golfer plays, and Sorenstam and Webb had many seasons when they played slightly fewer events relative to other LPGA golfers.
The List: LPGA Tour Total Birdies Leaders
The LPGA's birdies stat ranks players based on their total number of birdies, as opposed to an average of birdies per round. So the number listed below is the total birdies made by that player during that season (for the sake of comparison, we've also included, parenthetically, each golfer's average birdies per round when that info is available).
