2022 World Golf Rankings: No. 1, Top 50 at End of Year
No. 1 at the end of 2022 was Rory McIlroy. McIlroy did not win any of the majors, but finished Top 8 in all four including runner-up in the 2022 Masters and third at the 2022 PGA Championship. McIlroy won three PGA Tour tournaments during the year: the RBC Canadian Open, Tour Championship and CJ Cup. He led the PGA Tour in scoring average and FedEx Cup points; and was the Order of Merit winner on the European Tour.
