SBS Open at Turtle Bay (LPGA Golf Tournament)

The SBS Open at Turtle Bay was an LPGA Tour golf tournament in Hawaii played in the mid- to late 2000-aughts. It was 54 holes in duration, stroke play.

First played: 2005

Last played: 2009

The "SBS" in the tournament name was for Seoul Broadcasting System. When SBS withdrew as tournament sponsor following the 2009 event, the LPGA was unable to find a replacement and the tournament ended.

The tournament's 18-hole scoring record was 65, recorded four times: Joo Mi Kim, 2006; Lorena Ochoa, 2006; Angela Park, 2008; Angela Stanford, 2009. Two of those golfers — Kim and Stanford — went on to win the tournament.

For Kim, it was her only win on the LPGA Tour. At the other end of her career, Sorenstam earned her 70th career LPGA title in this tournament in 2008. She won only two more LPGA Tour tournaments afterward.

Hawaii native Michelle Wie was the runner-up in both the first and last SBS Opens. In 2005, playing as an amateur, Wie tied for second, two strokes back. In 2009, she finished solo second, three behind the winner.
