'Big Break II' Winner and Cast Members

The Big Break II was, as you can probably guess from the title, the second season of The Big Break television series that aired on the Golf Channel. Who can have guessed at the time this sequel premiered that the series would continue on for more than 20 more seasons.

The Big Break II debuted on the Golf Channel on September 27, 2004. Most of the series was taped at Stallion Mountain Country Club in Las Vegas, Nevada, although the championship match was played at Bali Hai Golf Club in Las Vegas.

Winner of 'The Big Break II'

The winner, after an epic championship match battle, was Kip Henley, who defeated Don Donatello in that match-play final. The two golfers see-sawed throughout the match. On the 18th green, Donatello had a 20-foot putt to win, but missed. Henley then made a four-foot putt to force extra holes. They matched scores on the first extra hole, then Henley won when Donatello's 8-foot par putt on the 20th hole stopped on the edge of the cup.

What Henley won: As the Big Break II champion, Kip Henley won entry into four Nationwide Tour events during that tour's 2005 season: the Henrico County Open, LaSalle Bank Open, Lake Erie Charity Classic and Pete Dye Classic.

How Henley fared in his Nationwide Tour appearances: He missed the cut in all four. His best showing was at the Henrico County Open, his first appearance, where he finished 2-under par (72-70). In the LaSalle Bank Open, Henley shot 74-73 (5-over); in the Lake Erie Charity Classic, 73-80 (9-over); and in the Pete Dye Classic, 76-74 (6-over).
