2022 Masters Tournament Winner and Scores

The 2022 Masters Tournament was the 86th edition of this major championship. Scottie Scheffler was the winner, earning his fourth overall PGA Tour win and first major championship victory.

Winner: Scottie Scheffler, 278

Where it was played: Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia

Tournament dates: April 7-10, 2022

Leader after first round: Sungjae Im, 67

Leader after second round: Scottie Scheffler, 136

Leader after third round: Scottie Scheffler, 207

Notable notes: Scottie Scheffler stood over a short putt on the final green to close out the victory in the 2022 Masters ... and missed. The he missed again. But it didn't matter, because when that last hole of the tournament began, Scheffler carried a five-stroke victory. He ended with a score of 10-under 278 and "just" a three-stroke win over runner-up Rory McIlroy, who closed with a 64, tying the tournament's final-round record. Scheffler's challenger for most of the final round was Cameron Smith, who entered the last day in second place. After a birdie on the 11th hole, Smith pulled within three of Scheffler. But on the par-3 12th, Smith hit into water and wound up with a triple bogey. It was easy going for Scheffler after that.
