Match notes: Two years after winning by a single point in the 2019 Solheim Cup, Team Europe made it back-to-back victories, this time by two points. Europe opened by winning the first session on Day 1 3.5 to 0.5, but Team USA rallied a couple times to be only 2 points down (9 to 7) going into the final day. At various times in the singles session it appeared that the Europeans might run away with it, or that the Americans might stage a huge comeback. In the end, the sides evenly split the 12 singles matches, keeping Europe's 2-point advantage. ... European rookie Leona Maguire led all players with a 4-0-1 record. ... Catriona Matthew became the first European captain to claim two Solheim Cup victories.
