Champions Tour Player of the Year Award Winners
The Player of the Year Award on the Champions Tour is officially named the Jack Nicklaus Award. Nicklaus, however, never won it, because he simply didn't play enough tournaments.
The award winner receives a trophy depicting Nicklaus thrusting his putter into the air in jubilation. (This same trophy is also presented to the PGA Tour Player of the Year winner and the Web.com Tour Player of the Year winner.)
The Champions Tour Player of the Year Award is based on a vote by players. The tour sends out a ballot at the end of the season with multiple nominees, and players make their choice.
