Notes: It was a great start for Team USA, a terrible one for GB&I in the Day 1 foursomes: a 4-0 sweep for the Americans. And GB&I never recovered. Team USA won every session. Brad Elder led the American side with a perfect 4-0-0 record. Justin Rose, 10 days past his 17th birthday, went 2-2 for GB&I and was the youngest Walker Cup competitor to this point.
