Yearly Money Leaders on the LPGA Tour

The list below of LPGA Tour money leaders goes back to 1950, the first year the tour was in existence.

There are two periods of LPGA money list history that are remarkable: From 1961-73, Mickey Wright or Kathy Whitworth led the LPGA money list every year but one. A similar period took place from 1995-2005, when Annika Sorenstam or Karrie Webb led every single year.

Sorenstam led the LPGA money list eight different years. That's a record, but one that she shares with Kathy Whitworth, who won eight out of nine years from 1965-73.

The LPGA money leader first crossed the $100,000 barrier in 1976, when Judy Rankin led. And the $1 million barrier was first crossed by Karrie Webb in 1996. Sorenstam was the first to cross $2 million, in 2001. Lorena Ochoa broke both the $3 million and $4 million levels in 2007.
