Wegmans LPGA Tournament Winners

The Wegmans LPGA was a professional golf tournament played on the LPGA Tour from the late 1970s until nearly 2010. It ended when title sponsor Wegmans took over as title sponsor of the LPGA Championship, one of the tour's majors. (And that ended when the LPGA Championship rebranded as the Women's PGA Championship.)

First played: 1977

Last played: 2009

The most-frequent winner of the event was Patty Sheehan, with four victories. Nancy Lopez won it three times in its first five years; 2-time champs were Pat Bradley, Rosie Jones, Karrie Webb and Lorena Ochoa.

The first of Lopez's victories was in her legendary 1978 campaign, when the tournament was known as the Bankers Trust Classic. It was her fifth consecutive victory on the LPGA Tour, setting a record for longest LPGA win streak. Lopez's streak ended at the next tournament she played, however.

The 41st of Sandra Haynie's 42 career LPGA victories happened in this tournament in 1982. The 85th of Kathy Whitworth's 88 career LPGA wins happened here in 1984. And the 33rd of Sheehan's 35 career wins happened here in 1995.

Also known as: Bankers Trust Classic, Sarah Coventry, Rochester International, Wegmans Rochester International, Wegmans Rochester LPGA
