Notable Notes: Johnny Farrell made up a 5-shot deficit in the final round, catching Bobby Jones by shooting 72 to Jones' 77. That sent the two of them into a 36-hole playoff for the championship. Farrell led by three strokes after the first 18, and while Jones rallied in the second 18 he couldn't catch Farrell. Farrell won the playoff by one shot, 143 to 144.
