Notable Notes: Corey Pavin won his only major here, capping off his victory with precise 4-wood approach onto the final green that is remembered as one of the best clutch long approaches in golf. Pavin trailed Greg Norman and Tom Lehman by three strokes entering the final round, but wound up beating runner-up Norman by two on the strength of a 68. Norman shot 73. Lehman closed with 74 and was third.
