2003 Masters

The 2003 Masters was the 67th one played. And when Mike Weir won, he became the tournament's first Canadian, and first left-handed, champion.

Winner: Mike Weir, 281

Where it was played: Augusta National Golf Club, Augusta, Georgia

Tournament dates: April 10-13, 2003

Leader after first round: Darren Clarke, 66

Leader after second round: Mike Weir, 138

Leader after third round: Jeff Maggert, 211

Notable Notes: Mike Weir had a 4-stroke lead after 36 holes, then shot 75 to lose the lead in the third round.

In the final round, Weir bounced back with a 68, but was tied by Len Mattiace, who shot a fourth-round 65.

Neither player played the first playoff hole (Augusta's 10th) well, but Weir survived with a bogey to beat Mattiace's double-bogey.
